can quick cook oats be used when the recipe calls for rolled oats?

thank you Bernadene, that will make things much easier, and less expensive.(and I don't have much cupbord space for all my ingred.)

It may change the texture. I prefer to use the rolled oats because I can whiz them in the food processor if necessary. I am assuming yo mean cookie type recipes. Obviously there are recipes that it could alter the cook times, but I didn't think that's what you meant.
