I am running out of ideas. I teach a life skills special ed class for young adults with disabilities. I have been doing fun basic (very basic) classes with my kids every couple weeks. I need more ideas to do with them. We have done chili dogs, pancakes, french toast, rice krispy treats, quesadillas, homemade tortillas, puppy chow and grilled cheese. I have one electric burner and a griddle. Thanks!

Good old fashioned restaurant-style hash browns. Perfect with hot pepper sauce and ketchup!

Maybe hash browns and eggs? http://allrecipes.com/video/15/how-to-fry-an-egg/detail.aspx?e11=fried%20eggs&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&event8=1&prop24=SR_Showcase&e13=A%3aSearch%20Results-List%28control%29&e7=%2frecipe-exchange%2frecipe-requests.aspx Would certainly be easier with a regular stove though. . .

Also, how about demonstrating simple stir-fry technique? Bell pepper, mushrooms, onion, pieces of steak.

A simple way to spruce up your burgers. Cook out on the grill, or just fry in a pan indoors. Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard and onions.

This might be good to teach them to use leftovers. Good luck with this very worthwhile project.

Welsh Cakes

We attended a county fair in Wales and the ladies of the local church were baking and selling these. We asked for the recipe and they graciously shared it with us. This has been converted to US standard. They are delicious and not as sweet as some of our style cookies. Dried currants can be used in place of the raisins.
