Soooooo its the day before Valentines Day. Many of you I hope have made decisions on what meals, desserts you have decided to prepare. What are they? You asked for suggestions and now I am curious to know what everyone has decided on.

Hi, AuntE! We already celebrated; DH is out of town on V-day. We had Porterhouse steak, twice-baked potatoes and broccoli, with the "Strawberry Roses" recipe from this site for dessert. We loved the marscarpone cheese-hadn't had that before-and if I'd gotten the coarse sugar and rolled the strawberries as instructed, I think the strawberries would have been even better. It's really quite simple and not too time-consuming. If you re-posted your request using "Request a Recipe", people could post their actual recipes to your request.

We are having 4 friends over for dinner. We are having baby back ribs, scalloped taters, roasted veggie medley bread and a spinach salad. One of the couples is bringing dessert, so that will be a surprise!

Good question. Since we won't all be home tomorrow night, I think we'll wait & celebrate together this weekend. I bought baby back ribs & we'll have some type of potatoes, & maybe a salad in place of a hot veggie. I'm making homemade heart shaped brownies, which we'll top w/ice cream, chocolate syrup & whipped cream. Soooooo, I still want to do something for the rest of us on Valentine's Day also, so I'm leaning toward lasagna(since the one who will be missing tomorrow doesn't like it anyway)w/garlic toast & cheesecake. If my daughter decides to ditch us also, I'm not sure I'll still do the lasagna just for the 3 of us left. So much up in the air right now :(

Clam chowder in homemade bread bowls and either blondies or brownies to snack on later. I'm thinking they both would go well with an Irish coffee.
