I finally figured out how to get my receipes into folders, but there doesn't seem to be a save button and they don't stay in the folders so what am I doing wrong?

Although your recipes are in folders, they remain in the main recipe box also. There is no way to make them leave the master recipe box and still have them in the folder. So your recipes are in two places, the folder and the master recipe box. Hope this is clear.

When you go to the main page of your RB, do you see a list of your folders along the left hand side? They should have numbers in parentheses, indicating the number of recipes in the folders. When you click on the folder name, the recipe list should then display the recipes you have placed in that folder.

Yes, emeralds, the recipe stays in the other folder and on your master list. I have purposefully placed recipes in two folders. For example, I might want a recipe to be in the poultry folder and in the Tex-Mex folder, too. I also have some recipes appearing twice, once in their main category and again in slow cooker.

The RB will tell you what folders you have things saved in. If you want to really delete a recipe, you have to delete it from every folder, then find it on the master list and delete there, too.
