Can I use bottom round roast to make beef jerkey? I usually use eye of round roast but I have the other one in the freezer. Any awesome recipies?

I would think so, Jess! Bottom round can be tough but that seems like a great way to use it! I use commercial jerky seasoning from Cabella's but let me see if I can find you a homemade one.

This is a one pan meal that's in the oven in 15 minutes. Rosemary, garlic, and oregano create a mouth watering aroma and the potatoes are crispy like french fries. Kids just love this!

I use chicken breasts in this. I marinade them in Yashidas. We love the flavor the chicken gives the fries. They really do get crispy!

OOPS Wrong question. Sorry. .........To answer yours.....I use what ever needs using up. Grown kids and grandkids seem to like it no matter what I use.

This recipe for beef jerky calls for soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke for marinating before going into a dehydrator. I hope you enjoy this jerky as much as me and my family do.

I have a dehydrator also. I just havent used it for at least a year and since I am planning on cooking broth tomorrow all day I figured I should make some jerkey too. I just didnt want to go to the store. I usually have the butcher slice the meat for me but since I wasnt planning on making jerky I didnt have him do it. Am I supposed to cut with the grain or against it? Both recipies look awesome. I cant decide which one to try! :)Thanks!

This is the very best jerky you have ever tasted, I've tried a lot of them, and this one's the best - you will reward me on this one! I use venison when available, but cheap round steak is great also, and it's all done in your oven.

This looks good too! Remember to keep in the frig....because it has no nitrates to preserve.
