Hellooo Buzzers, I have been enjoying a great winter in the Great White North. The temps have been stable and I have been enjoying the outdoors and cooking/baking a lot but rarely using recipes. Any great new recipes that are must tries or must dos? Anything goes-main dishes, desserts, breads-what have you all been drooling over?

Think of this as chafing-dish pizza without the dough! Five minutes in the microwave and you've got an appetizer on the table.

This has been a big hit here for the winter. Either layered as recipe says or just mix it all up into one glorious mouth watering mess. Just wanted to say morning before I head out. Need to go pull all the pictures and paintings off the wall at Dads condo. Relisted with a different realtor to see if we can't get the place sold and he said take them down. Off to find the hair dryer!

looks good and easy, my guys would love it-anything pizza-y seems to be a hit with teens. Good luck in selling, bake a pie or some cookies on open house day. Gitano says it works:)

Eggs are baked in a spicy marinara sauce and topped with cream and Parmigiano-Reggiano, for a rich and creamy brunch dish.

I made this for a lunch and was surprised I liked it as much as I did. Simple & tasty.

leave it to Chef John to reinvent scrambled eggs:) I am surprised after all this time that he STILL sits on the front page as most liked cook or whatever his claim to fame is. Thanks Deb.

Hi...it's me Sarah...haven't been on in so long you may not remember me. Anyway, recently I made a recipe made to copycat East Side's firecracker shrimp...I don't know if you like spicy, but I must say it was delish. I found some hints online...turns out there's brushcetta topping (1 cup, I used fresh tri-colour tomatoes, garlic, onion, green pepper, and herbs etc), prepared pesto (3 tbsp) lots of olive oil and garlic and red pepper flakes....add shrimp and bowties, some snap peas and whatever else and it was fab. You don't really need an exact recipe...just those hints. It really tasted great!

LOL~I'm sure you liked me at least a little, since I loved you! I'm the Sarah that had the pic of my hand and my husband's hand crossed over each other...I have a few published recipes (oven baked garlic parmesan fries, for one) but my account must have been idle too long because all of my personal recipes (over 50) seem to be gone and I can't seem to log in as Sarah anymore...I'll try to sort it out, I miss you all.

oooh, that seems like a lot of seasoning salt, just felt my ankles swell. Do you use that much? Maybe the water dilutes it some?

I did not use the salt at all.

We love this and we use the salt. My husband has been the chef around the house lately. He may cut back on it some.

thanks Anne, I was taught-way back when-that rubbing salt on meat often made it tougher, if you were using the salt to cure it, then it was fine but that took several weeks. I suppose the water (boiling of the meat) would keep it tender.

They are very tender. We do cook it uncovered after we turn the chops over, so the water evaporates. Be generous with the onions because they are delicious.

the news reports about the storms looks awful, we would be in heaven with the new snow, but it must shut down some cities. Good thing the weather will improve and it will melt quickly. Get out and make snowmen!

Serve a tender corned beef brisket to your family for any special occasion or just because it's so tasty. The meat is slowly cooked in an oven for maximum flavor.

will pass this onto the Baby Redneck, he has been experimenting with a Japanese terriyaki chicken with noodles and cabbage for a couple weeks now. He loves it and it is easy to whip up. This will be a different flavour for him. He tried the dish a Edo and invented his own creation of it.

Tell him to take it easy on the chili paste. I think Banking Nana only used 2 teaspoons instead of 2 tablespoons. I think that would make it SUPER spicy!

thanks Jess, he is a little firecracker, I will caution him but the kid could eat fire on a stick. He rarely follows anything to the letter on recipes-too much like his mama

that sounds interesting, just saved it. We love cranberries and I often sub them for raisins in many recipes. I just rated your lemon cookies-family loved them as did I.
