This Jamaican barbeque marinade is a zesty blend of tangy, hot and sweet. Try habanero peppers in place of jalapenos, if you're feeling spicy!

I was on the hunt for a perfect jerk seasoning, not too sweet, not too spicy. I finally perfected my own. Hope you like it!

I make red beans and rice with curry or jerk chicken. I have a recipe but it's a bit time consuming. http://allrecipes.com/personalrecipe/63500464/mildly-spicy-red-beans-and-rice/detail.aspx

This cabbage or some cole slaw would go nicely with jerk chicken.

Rice & Beans (Haitian Style)

This recipe for rice and beans is so delicious! I have adapted it from the traditional Haitian style of making rice and beans. The scent and taste of the cloves make the dish! Serve with avocado on the side and you'll want it every night of the week!

I agree that rice and beans would be a great side dish and maybe a salad of some sort

White rice is the main side dish made in Brazil. This is the way my mom would make it and taught my sister and I. What makes this so different is that we fry it in oil with minced onion and garlic before adding water. You can also use part water, part chicken broth. The secret is to not let it overcook because it should come out loose and not sticky.

Fall and winter root vegetables are roasted in the oven with thyme sprigs and a drizzle of maple syrup to make a great side dish to go with any meal.

I add chuncks of red & green bell pepper, red onion, pineapple to the roasting pan with the chicken then make rice much like this.
