This honey-oat yeast bread incorporates a modest amount of strawberries and cream cheese to enliven the bread without overwhelming it.

1/3 cup seems like the berry flavor would get lost in the bread. If the berries are that good I think I would look for another recipe...

maybe i could sneak in a little strawberry extract-lol-i was just thinking the oats would be good fiber-- never considered the amount of fruit- thanks:-)

Wow, that is a good deal, I live an hour from Plant City and the best deal here is $2.50 for 16oz. Always amazing we get better deals on Calif. strawberries than we do FL strawberries. They are very good this year since we've not had the normal hard freezes this winter. Enjoy!

hi sherri- i thought of you when i was buying them- thinking how they came -from your house=-lol- i don't eat them but hubby does- they are not summer berries- but really nice for now- large and smell nice- they will be a little sweeter in a few more weeks- i got them at my mexican market- (dole product) same ones at kroger $2.50 each pound- i may get a few more today for freezer-all our plants come from costa there & the one in n. carolina:-) we are almost neighbors-lol

These are moist and delicious despite the fact that there is no liquid other than the berry juice.

We found beautiful strawberries last week for 99 cents. They smelled good but didn't wow us with flavor. Nice to have them this time of year though! I haven't made the recipe you posted but this one is very good.

Be sure to do the step with letting the strawberries sit with the sugar. Hope you enjoy them!

i will- to besure- when i was a lid - we would have fresh peaches(my favorite) mama would wash & slice and sprinkle alittle sugar and cinnamon- then right before bed we would have just a couple of spoons with a little milk on it- yum- i.e.- her version of peaches & cream- bet hubby would like the berries that way too
