Submitted by: kphanie

Millet and oats are tossed with tamari, potatoes, and carrot and sandwiched between two pie crusts for a savory and flavorful millet pie.

What kind of oats should be used in this? Oat groats have a different oats to water ratio, actually any kind of oats that I know of!

Even the oats to water ratio on steel cut oats is off! But maybe, given the cooking time...

i think it has to be really thick- i looked up millet pies and they all seem to be very dense- mostly using sweet potatoes- this is the only one i have found with oats- so i guess it is just a guessing game

I think this is regular oats. Steel cut/nail head/oat groats would not absorb the water in 10 minutes as the instructions state.
