I need to figure out what other side to serve for dinner! I'm vegetarian, so please keep that in mind. I am serving gourmet tofu patties for the main dish- http://www.savvyvegetarian.com/vegetarian-recipes/gourmet-tofu-patties.php The recipe suggests a tomato sauce to top it so I was just going to saute some cherry tomatoes in olive oil with some spices for a topping. I have some rainbow chard I need to use up so I was thinking of doing something like this recipe without the cheese (I'll probably leave out the balsamic vinegar, too): http://allrecipes.com/recipe/warm-swiss-chard-and-mushroom-salad/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=chard%20mushroom&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e13=A%3aSearch%20Results-List%28control%29&e7=Home%20Page I need another side. The recipe suggests a grain dish but with rice already in the tofu patty I don't know if that will be too much. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I need to start dinner in an hour, haha! Thanks!

Given all the veg in the 2 dishes, I think a side grain would be good. If it's a simple one, maybe some people would like to combine chard and grain on their plates. Have fun!

Thanks! I have a bit of wild rice left (not enough for two people like I need unfortunately), so I was considering mixing it with brown rice for a side.

This traditional Turkish soup with red lentils, bulgur wheat, and dried mint is wonderful and easy to make.

A comforting tomato, zucchini, and eggplant stew with the flavors of southern France makes a great side dish to serve hot or as a nice lunch served cold with cottage cheese.
