I average between 3-4 hours nightly. I'm just not a good sleeper. I used to be. But it seems the older I've gotten the less I need.

I know everyone has a different situation...shift work, newborns, teenagers....night sweats(!!)..worries...I personally have at least 3 of these on any given night...I get about 6 hours on a very good night.... I'm thinking of Lisa....such an early bird she is.... :)

I know, ellie, Lisa usually clocks in on the Buzz around 3:00am! I wonder what time she goes to bed at night or does she nap. I get a fairly solid 8-9 hours per night. I relish the nights that are dreamless as I have a vivid imagination awake and asleep!

Cathy...isn't it nice when you wake up refreshed and not wondering what that crazy dream might have meant?

Yes! Why don't I ever dream about being in my own home? It's always a house I don't recognize! Very often I have children that I'm protecting in my dreams. That's easy to explain as I love children. My husband's dreams often involve being in a hotel and lost.

I've had the lost dream and often I'm being chased...and not in a good way... :)

Sleepy Cake

Submitted by: Kevin Ryan
This is a very easy cake to make. No creaming of shortening or butter, and no sifting. It is called sleepy cake because you could do it in your sleep, and because you pour coffee over the batter--a mistake anyone could make on a sleepy morning!

Scared me that night, I was afraid I would wake up at 2 am and not be able to go back to the sandman :) Once in a while I get as little 3-4.

gderr....my brother in law was on the patch for a while and said the same thing about dreams....lol...he said once a giant cat (like a guy in a cat suit ) was chasing him. I think he quit the patch soon after that one... But...good news, he doesn't smoke anymore.... I know it's reallly hard....you can do it!!!!!!!

My Mom use to recite a poem to me..not sure who to credit it to but...."Sleep is wasted on the young...they always seem to fight it...If someone ordered me to bed..I'd be downright delighted!"

I know Ellie! I hate being woke up from a ache/pain. I've been having a pain in the shin area of my right leg, knee including. Doc said to have an MRI on it and I have not had it done yet. I'll ice it and take tylenol with codine

We go to bed most nights at 9 and I get up at 6. That does not mean I get to sleep that much. Sometimes it is an hour or two before I actually get to sleep. I can't remember my dreams after I wake up. I remember that I dreamed and try to remember sometimes but can't?

I've been wide awake for the past 30 hours. Back when I actually had a job, I needed 7 hours in order to function the next day.

Oh my... Left to my own devices, I am awake most of the night and then, in the morning, sleep around 3 or 4 hours. But with Ambien, I can get 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep. I've had trouble sleeping since I was a child, but it does seem that the insomnia has gotten worse since the big "M"
