Hello all. Have a question about tomato paste. I just saw that my tube was leaking at some point and now has a sticky goop (for lack of a better word) around half of the cap. I squoze some of it out to give it a taste test. It's a dark red color and sort of has a metallic taste to it. Admittedly, I had never paid much attention to the color, nor have I tasted it previously. Do you think I should air on the side of caution and just pitch it?
