I want Chinese! Our fav take-out place is closed until the beginning of Feb sometime. They always close for 4-6 weeks for vacation. Can't blame them, it's a mom & pop shop & they're there working from open to close 6 days a week. I just love them.

This is the way to get crisp bacon without having to constantly turn it, watch over it, or get burnt by splatters of grease. It 'fries' up flat and doesn't curl, which looks great beside a breakfast plate of eggs, and makes BLT sandwiches much easier. Very nice when feeding a family or crowd.

Good morning all. I didn't get to this yesterday, maybe today. So far the sil and niece are only eating fruit, toast and yogurt for breakfast. I want bacon and eggs! Dinner is out tonight. Everyone loved my chili and cornbread last night so we'll have leftover chili for lunch.

Glad you're feeling better! I'm jealous of the haircut. I need one desperately but am not digging the place where I've been going. My regular girl quit & I haven't been able to find anyone who knows how to cut curly hair. I want to do something drastic but am scared to try someone new to do it :)

I would always ask my mom 'What's for dinner?' and the response would be 'I don't know.' I said I was going to make up a dish called 'I don't know' dish. It turned out pretty good. Ground beef, potatoes and cheese are layered with a few vegetables in this simple one dish meal.

LOL Sherri. You can always process it and then freeze it. That's what I do when we get fresh spinach from Costco. The Espinacas con Garbanzos on here uses a decent amount of spinach, and is pretty good. I liked Aush (Afghani Chili) from here as well. :)

Good morning! Hubs made pizza and salad for dinner last night, but we had to leave in a rush to take the dog to the vet so never ate the salad. So, I suppose I'll have salad and this. I plan to steam some shrimp at the top of the rice cooker at the same time.

Yeah, he's okay. one of our neighbor dogs got out and apparently she's very aggressive toward other dogs. He was attacked by her pretty badly so had to get checked over. They clipped him and gave him stitches and staples. He now is getting antibiotics and pain medicine but doesn't seem bothered at all. The neighbors paid for the vet visit. They're very sweet, but that was not how I wanted to meet our new neighbors!

Yeah, loose dogs scare me. You never know what they are going to do! They told us she's very protective of them and she pushed her way out their front door. Their other dog is a sweetheart. You just never know . . .

Absolutely! they could have been mean about it, but they told me to call from the vet and so I did, and she paid by credit card. I'm glad it was not over $200.
