I have a cherry pie to make tonight and barely any time to make it, so I am going to just use frozen pie crust and cans of pie filling. Not sure how to bake it (i.e. time and temp). Also, should I defrost crust first before filling and baking? And finally, does it need to be covered?? TIA!

You are going to have to defrost that crust if you want a top or lattice - otherwise no. Let me get you the time and temp.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 55 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. I don't cover unless it is getting too brown - but with this type of pie, when the pastry is done so is the pie.

Bake cherry pie filling in a deep-dish pie crust, crowned with a spiced crumb topping and sliced almonds.

I sometimes add crushed pineapple to the mix for a different twist on it.
