How's the weather in your part of the world? It's 84 degrees without a cloud in the sky in North Texas. And the juniper/cedar pollen counts are high, so my nose itches and my teeth hurt from sinus pressure. Since it's just me for supper, I think I'm not cooking a thing.

Sugar works great on regular potatoes, but I still can't get crispy sweet potatoes! Next time I'm trying them sliced super thin. Thanks.

5F when I got up. It got all the way up to 21F. But the wind is vicious so it feels like -4F. It is also so dry my sinuses are not happy! I envy you warmth and hope you feel better soon.

A chilly day will be more cozy with a pot of this light and easy chili simmering on the stove. You can also cook it in the slow cooker for 8 hours on Low or 3 hours on High.

This is an easy girlie drink made up by a good friend after she had one at a bar. Pineapple juice and vanilla vodka in a martini glass. Garnish with a wedge of pineapple and a cherry.

Our weather has been like a roller coaster ride all winter. One day it's 20 (like today), the next day it's 50 (tomorrow's high), or even 70 like it was last week. Typical Kansas weather! I'm not complaining though. It's been a fairly mild winter so far. If it was just me for supper tonight, I think I would make this my supper :)

The name says it all - this recipe starts from scratch so it has a lot of ingredients. Great for a crowd, just garnish with shredded mozzarella cheese, and use corn chips for dipping.

Pittsburgh Sandwich

The sandwiches of this historic Pittsburgh restaurant are legendary. In fact, they're almost famous. Italian bread, fries, pastrami, melted provolone, and homemade coleslaw should quench that craving if you find yourself too far from Pittsburgh.
