I am having a birthday party on Saturday for my great grandaughter that lives with us. She will be 12. We are going to do a scavenger hunt. I have the food covered I think. It is mostly family and a few of her friends. I need some ideas on things to put on the list for the scavenger hunt. Needs to be things most people have at home and would not mind let the kids have it for the hunt. All suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance as I am at work and can't get one here much while at work.

It's been a long time since I had a "scavenger" at the door, fun! Safety pin, seashell, bobby pin, feather, old magazine (I think we used to get "TV Guides" but those days are long gone!).

Add "a piece of chocolate" to the list. You probably will get all the stuff they collect! Just sayin'.

Battery, paper clip, clothes pin, rubber band, cotton ball, yesterday's newspaper, empty plastic bottle (recyclers would have this), string, piece of fishing line, tp tube, napkin or paper towel, can of veggies (then it can be donated).

Wow, thanks so much. I would have never thought of some of these things. I think they are going to have a lot of fun with this.

My parents use to do the same thing for our b-days when we were young BUT it was more fun things/prises you could keep! Nothing crazy BUT say a fun brush, nail polish, tinted chapstick/gloss etc... Girly things! And there was always one nicer/bigger gift to be found! Maybe a pair of fun sun glasses or something warm weather related!
