Can I freeze cupcake batter. Ifyes, what's the best way to do so. Also can I freeze a butter icing? Again, what is the best way? Thanks everyone.

I dont know about batter but I do freeze my buttercream frosting and it does great. I just grab it a few hours early and let it thaw out. good luck

Icing yes, I just freeze it in a bag so I can squish it flat. Batter I'm not so sure about, I've never tried.

Cake batter needs to be used right after mixing because of the levaninig agents. Baking and freezing cakes or cupcakes works well.

Thanks to those who sent an answer about freezing a butter icing and cupcake batter. I've frozen both. I'm not confident about the batter. I'll let you know when I defrost it.
