HELP - PLEASE.... I put on potatoes to boil and make mashed potatoes.. and COMPLETELY forgot them - yikes... so they have been cook forever!!! - Amything I can do - I heard they get really sticky if cooked to long. Can I still make mashed... I dumped them quickly and put badk on stovbe to take moister out - then threw in fridge to cool.... anyting else TIA !!!

well, i have never made mashed potatoes with cooled potatoes, so i cannot help you there. i would have just forged on and made them with some butter/milk, and perhaps a spoon of sour cream at the end.

Hi, if not burnt or anything and dried out well,take from fridge, put on low heat with some little milk to wetten but not sodden and work from there re butter, spring onion etc. hope helps. cheers.

You can either boil and mash caulliflower and mix it in it. Or if it's too runny just make mashed potato soup(link follows) , its especially good with crumbled bacon :)

Thanks guys, thank goodness jot brunt.. so dried out a little; mashed, added milk, butter, cheddar cheese and sour cream.... they are so yummy. Now I am putting in large 12 x 9 pan sprinkle with potatoe toppings and baking as in twice baked potatoes. But they were saved. Thanks for all the ideas, also whats left I will make potatoe patties. YUMMY.
