What's allowed in terms of posting new recipes? Is it just our personal recipes that we have created? Or, can it be recipes we like from other places (whether we've modified them or not)? Just looking for clarification. I don't want to offend or do anything wrong.

If you credit the publisher of the recipe and its author, there is nothing wrong with it. If you take the recipe as your own, then it is coyright infringement or theft. The publisher can be website, magazine, book or a combination of all three. Be careful and you'll be fine. If you have modified a published recipe then the recipe is yours. It is a very nice courtesy to say that you were inspired by this recipe and its author and publisher.

Thanks, I had the exact same question, and I credited the recipe I just discovered directly in the name (the King Arther Flour Cake Pan Cake) and shared their actual link.

patticakes43, just wondering when you say "posted," if you are talking about submitting a recipe for publication or are you talking about "saving" recipes from other sites to your recipe box? It looks like you just joined Allrecipes this month and that you have started a recipe box which is great. If your intent is to include recipes from other sites, that’s 100% legit. First copy your recipe site link, then navigate back to AR and open your recipe box. Next, click on ADD A LINK at the top, and then paste in your link.

I did mean submitting a recipe for publication but thank you so much for the additional info. I was curious about the ADD A LINK feature, but am just taking it all in, one step at a time. :)
