I am catering a super bowl party. Wings are on the menu. I want to set up a wing bar.Here's the delema. How would you keep the sauces warm? I was thinking of putting the sauces,(hot mild garlic butter etc.) in squeeze bottles. This is so the guests can pick their own preference. So how can I keep them warm? I hate cold sauce on hot (temp.) wings. Thanks Mag

Tough one...if you did boneless wings you could use fondue pots and have the "wings" already skewered. Only thing I can think of to keep bottles warm would be putting them in a hot water bath in a tub, but not very attractive. Just looked at a recipe for Japanese wings, craving them now! Good luck with the party, sounds like fun :)

If you are thinking of using squeeze bottles, how about putting water in the crock pot and sitting the bottles in that water with the crock plugged in to keep the water warm?

I was thinking of a crock pot too, but not sure how plastic bottles would hold up with the heat...

....or I wonder if you used an oblong crock pot you could just place them in there on warm without water to avoid the wet, drippy factor?

I have a couple of 1.5qt slow cookers that I use often for gatherings. Don't know how many sauces you have but they are only $8.00 at Target. Just make sure you use the warm setting...these things work well.

The link I posted shows mason jars with melted chocolate in them placed inside a crockpot, the crock is on, therefor keeping the chocolate melted. Might work for your sauces and would be really easy.

I just looked for condiment warmers and they all seem to work the same as a crock pot or fondue pot. Looks like all the above folks have the necessary idea!

Place sauces in glass containers. Line as many of the sauces up in an electric skillet and keep on the lowest setting ya got. Have spoons in the containers, they should not get so hot as to burn fingers, I think.

I agree with Lilcat. That's the way I used to keep chocolate melted. The chocolate didn't seize so it didn't get too hot.

Hi, sounds stupid BUT Remember in chinese restaurant, at least in scotland, the little trays with candles underneath which keep things warm. Meals/sauces etc. JUST watch and possibly protect bottom sauce pot a bit. Hope helps. cheers.

Did you ever think about one of those crockpots w/3sections, they are small sections to keep your sauces warm? Just saying :))

How about thermal mugs instead of plastic bottles? If the sauce isn't too thick, I don't think it would be any messier to shake it on the wings than squirting it on. Of course, it depends on the number of beverages the user's had! LOL

Interesting idea, Penny . . . made me think foam koozies might help retain warmth provided you can find the proper size to fit the squeeze bottles.
