OK want to run my menu for my husband's Texan Taking Thirty themed birthday party. It is basically like backyard BBQ. I'm making smoked brisket, sausage, roasted red potatoes, beans, bread, onions and pikcles. THen for dessert pound cake bc thats my hubs favorite. Cake pops that look like farm animals, smore pops, and mini cupcakes. Am I missing anything??

It is just my take on the name instead of Dirty Thirty bc really that is just grose! And it is a rustic theme, red and white checkard table cloths, everyone will be in their western gear, country music ect. We are from Texas so I was trying to come up with something that sounded good with Thirty other than dirty. And it goes with the theme.

Don’t see anything to drink but maybe that’s covered by buying branded drink products . . .

Tomatoes, red onion, jalapeno pepper, cilantro, and lime juice combine in this fresh-tasting salsa that's served with chips or as a condiment for all your favorite Mexican dishes.

Any good pico de gallo or salsa. It's not only good with chips I also love putting salsa/pico de gallo on a slice of smoked brisked or tri-tip.

That actually might be a good addition since I am not doing appetizers. Thanks! I will keep it in mind.

Cabbage salad with Southwestern twist! Tangy with lime juice, cayenne and cumin, and bursting with crunchy bits of carrot, green onion and radish. Not to be missed!

Something green and crunchy, maybe? And some fruit for the poundcake would be nice.

I thought about coleslaw but I dont think it would really get eaten. Most of his friends are big guys who will probably only eat the meat. I could maybe make a smaller batch but I think a big batch would go to waste. I will think about it though! I am more a veggie eater myself but BBQ I usually just go for the meat and potatoes.

As served by street vendors in Mexico. Grilled ears of fresh corn are spread with mayonnaise and sprinkled with grated cotija cheese. You'll want to eat all your corn this way from now on.

Fresh corn is out of season but frozen works well with this recipe.

I love this! There is going to be about 30 or maybe a little more people so I was wanting to stick to more cassarole like dishes. This is my favorite corn recipe though. I buy the lime mayo for it. I did actually see fresh corn at the store the other day though.

Whole kernel corn, cream style corn, sour cream, eggs, butter and muffin mix. A creamy, corny dream of a casserole.

This is an easy casserole way to get the taste of the corn bd weld reccomended. It is much better if you use frozen corn and pan roast it a bit in butter in a hot cast iron pan.
