What are your favorite ways to doctor up a bbq sauce? I have some homemade rhubarb ketchup I would like to incorporate if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it! Thanks

I'm interested in the Rhubarb ketchup, not heard of that before. I'm always searching for ways to use Rhubarb.

Chicken baked in a home made barbecue sauce. Very easy. Very good.

I love this recipe. I do play with my sauce. I use a little less water and a little more ketchup then add a t. each of onion and garlic powder, molasses, and liquid smoke. Comes out KC Masterpiece-ish. Maybe the ingredients for this and my add in's will help you find what is missing from your bottled sauce. If you want it hot add red pepper flakes.

This barbeque sauce starts off by cooking onions, garlic and ginger in bacon drippings to give added flavor to a combination of a lot of ingredients you probably have in your pantry.

A fairly standard concoction for topping meat loaf . . . 1/4 cup ketchup; 2 tablespoons brown sugar; 1 teaspoon ground mustard; 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce *** If you mean wanting to make bbq sauce with your rhubarb ketchup (no way of knowing how the rhubarb might alter the taste) . . . http://allrecipes.com/recipe/magpies-barbeque-sauce/detail.aspx *** if short on time, will whisk together equal amounts of ketchup & Tiger Sauce which makes a tasty combination.

This sweet, mellow marinade for ribs comes from Canada, where it is hugely popular! Any sauce left over after marinating and basting may be simmered until the sugar dissolves, then used as a sauce.

Applesauce gives this sauce a nice thick texture that coats well on meat. It has a sweet spicy flavor that is excellent on chicken or pork. It may also be canned in sterile containers for later use, or for giving as gifts.

There's no tomato in this unique barbeque sauce made with rhubarb, sweet onion, a can of pepper-type soda, and plenty of warm spices.
