I have about 3/4 pound of cooked steak fahita meat and 2 cups plain brown rice leaftover. Any ideas for a soup or other idea? TIA

Hi, simple --- Fried rice with fajita meat added at end. Type of cold rice no object. the title says it all. cheers. Nice. Make Up Your Own Recipe Fried Rice This dish can also be served cold as a rice salad This may convert into a meal if you add extras like chopped ham, cooked chicken/beef, cooked shrimp or prawns, bean sprouts or more and/or different vegetables. 2 Eggs 2tsp Sesame Oil ½ tsp Salt 2tbsp Vegetable or Sunflower Oil 400g long grain Rice (Basmati is good) - cooked and let go cold 100g frozen Peas - defrosted 225gr Onion - chopped 100g Sweetcorn - canned or frozen - defrosted ½tsp freshly ground Black Pepper 175gr Cucumber - peeled, seeded and cut into cubes Optional: 1tbsp Soy Sauce and/or 1 tsp Chilli Oil In a small bowl, beat eggs, sesame oil and salt together and set aside; Heat a wok until very hot, add a little oil, heat until smoking and add onions and pepper and stir fry for 2 minutes Add rest of oil, egg mixture and stir fry for 1 minute; Add the rice and stir fry for 3 - 4 minutes until heated through; Add peas, sweet corn and cucumber and stir fry continuously for 5 minutes; Add Soy sauce and/or Chilli oil if using; Stir well and serve For best results, make sure the cooked rice is cold to prevent sticking to frying pan

Chop up steak, saute 1/2 onion diced and some chopped fresh mushrooms in a little olive oil,along with 1 clove minced garlic. Add 4 cups beef broth, bring to a boil for 10 min, lower to simmer and throw in the steak and rice. simmer for at least 15 min. to mix flavors. Great with crusty bread.

Boiled cabbage leaves are filled with a mixture of ground beef, egg, and cooked rice. These are simmered for about an hour with tomato juice, vinegar, sugar, and water.
