HAPPY MONDAY AFTERNOON, FRIENDS! Question about Folders? OK, I have a few folders listed under **Chicken Dishes**, plus **Chicken Dishes** folder. OK. Want to move Chicken/Rice dishes from original chicken dishes to chicken/rice folder. OK. Now, when I go back to original folder to delete recipe from there (since it's already moved to chicken/rice folder), delete option says recipe will be deleted from both folders. Is there some *trick* to prevent both recipes from being deleted, or should I just leave as is and be satisfied with it. Realize I may have sounded complicated when posting. Hope you understand what I mean, not what I say. Thanks sooooo much. KathyJ.

If u are in the folder that you want to delete the recipe from (and not your main folder), when you choose "delete," it should ask you if u want to delete from that folder, and not all folders. At least, that's how it works when I do it.

Two part explanation/answer . . . Tedious but doable. There is no drag and drop, and I’ve only found a way to do each recipe which is a PITA. To understand how AR set this up. A recipe must be in your ‘All’ folder, and think of this as the master folder (if a recipe is unassigned to a specific folder it will also be found in the ‘uncategorized’ folder, and then disappear from there when assigned). You can think of the hierarchy as follows: master, top level , and sublevel folders. I have a subfolder nested underneath a subfolder but I don’t know how many can be stacked on top of one another (at least two but maybe several more). If you ever delete a recipe from ‘All’, it will delete from every other folder you put that recipe into. This can be a good feature if wanting to delete a recipe from multiple folders to avoid the time of deleting from each separate folder.

I’m not exactly clear based on your description of what you’re trying to do. When you say “when I go back to original folder to delete recipe from there (since it's already moved to chicken/rice folder), delete option says recipe will be DELETED FROM BOTH FOLDERS.” (upper case added). Are you referring to the original folder as the ‘All’ folder or the ‘Chicken Dishes’ folder you’re trying to move it away from. I think you’re working in your ‘All’ folder as that is where I only see the message you’re referring to. You should be able to delete it from ‘Chicken Dishes’ after you placed it in ‘Chicken/Rice Dishes’, even if ‘Chicken/Rice Dishes’ is a subfolder of ‘Chicken Dishes’.

I see what you mean ~~ only want to delete from CHICKEN DISHES folder, keep recipe in CHICKEN/RICE folder. Chicken/Rice folder is a subfolder. Thank you so much for deciphering my description!!
