In my pursuit of following through with my NY Resolution of using up what I have in the pantry and freezer, I fearlessly dove into the deep freeze and came up with 4 huge skin on and bone in chicken breasts and about 7 small boneless chicken breast. I was hoping to throw them into a crueset with white wine, onion and some kind of herbs and voila Sunday dinner for 8 ! My question can I throw them into the oven frozen. Dinner will not be for another 6 hours any suggestions or better ideas for them would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. You can cook them from frozen. Just be aware that may take extra time to cook. For chicken breasts, maybe an extra 20-30 mins? You could also quick thaw them in cold water. Should only take about an hour or two to thaw them that way. Good luck!

I don't have any suggestions for you, but I'd think it'd be better to at least defrost a bit first. I always get a chuckle when I picture us diving into a freezer. It's like a cartoon that I can't get out of my mind.

I have the same resolution :) This recipe is rustic; add and subtract according to what you have on-hand.

Me too. I'm not very good with resolutions, but I AM going to make better decisions at the grocery store and using what I have before buying!

That looks really, really good Allie and I have all of the ingredients. Does it matter what type of wine? I have some red.

I hear you scotdog. Also, my freezer needs to be used differently. I want to freeze some prepared meals instead of raw meats and veggies.
