Very sorry,Carrie,this dish is good i omit the wine and use all chicken broth,you can do this in the slow cooker also,just brown the meat first.

So sorry for your loss Carrie! Hugs and prayers sent your way :) This is inexpensive and good! I always throw it in a crock pot and let simmer all day. Put out green onions, cheese, sour cream, crackers, or fritos and people can dress it up any way they like. Great for people coming in and out of the house too.

You can use what you have on hand to top the "pizza" We usually skip the ground beef and just go with pepperoni. Add any veggies you have that need used up, especially bell peppers.

This is always great! Maybe make up a batch of macaroni salad or a big casserole of mac and cheese as a side? Put out some carrots and celery with a dip too?

This recipe is easy on the cook, too. There are are some good sales on pork right now here-hopefully where you are, too. Easy to add coleslaw from a packaged mix, or a green salad, or rice and a vegetable.
