Too busy to cook? A slow cooker and a can of beef broth gets you started on this recipe. 'Low and slow' cooking gives you a roast that shreds with a fork.

Good Morning Peeps! We have leftover pork loin from dinner last night, so I'll try to turn it into pulled pork sammies for dinner tonight. And we'll have leftover potato soup to go with them. It's 13 degrees right now and the high is expected to be only 27, so a good day for soup! At least the sun is shining for a change. Enjoy your day everyone!

Sounds like a perfect meal on a cold day. Enjoy!

This sounds so good! I've been avoiding pulled pork because I'd have to eat it all myself or freeze it and hope I use it within a decent amount of time. Love the idea of potato soup...think I'll make that tonight.

Chili powder, cumin, paprika, and a few other easy-to-find spices make up this taco mix recipe. Cheaper than packaged versions!

Good morning! Long time no "see!" Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! It's been a doozey for us... My son broke his arm and had to have surgery (soooo scary) He got out of the hospital on the 23rd, so Christmas was pretty low key. He is fine now and will get a hard cast on Friday. That said, dinner is anything easy! Tacos sound good too!

Hope for a speedy recovery. Save your newspaper bags. They fit perfect over a little arm when it's time for a bath!

Golden Potato Soup

This is a thick, hearty soup. Kids love this because of the cheesy flavor.

Good morning! For dinner, potato soup, with a nice crunchy kielbasas and greens wrap accompanying it.

The charred cedar plank gives this fish a lovely smoky flavor that is complemented nicely by a slightly sweet herb rub.

Soak some black-eyed peas overnight and then cook low and slow with bacon, onion, and ham for some southern-style eatin'. It's a lucky dish to eat on New Year's Day.

Well things are back to normal today. Hubby went back to work and kids went back to school. So I was up early and there was no Lisa! I felt like I may be in the Twilight Zone! Decided to check back and hurray there's my favorite post! Anyway, I fixed enough of these to feed an army. So, this and leftover collards with probably some cornbread. Happy Wednesday!
