I need to pick your brains - I have 1/2 can cannelini beans left over from a recipe. What can I use them for? Can I make a white bean chili? Ideas please, this is a new ingredient for me.

Freeze them and use them to thicken the next soup you make.

An awesome alternative to the usual refried beans and tortilla chips. Serve this dip with pita chips or veggie wheat crackers

You are very welcome. I also want to mention that you can sub parsley for cilantro in this recipe.

You can throw them in just about anything...a can of minestronni soup or vegetabe soup in your pantry, or fry some ham, add beans & chicken broth and it's instant soup, or drain rinse & add some Italian dressing with the beans by themselves or thrown in a green salad.

Thank you freelisa for more tasty ideas. Love the salad idea, I am brown bagging it more these days.

Greens with Cannellini Beans and Pancetta

This is a forgiving recipe, and a great way to get your greens! Kale is cooked with onions and garlic, a small amount of pancetta or bacon, and cannellini beans to make a great main dish for two or side dish for 4 or more.

half can of beans would work with just one bunch of greens.

Roasted garlic suffuses this white bean dip with its sweet, mellow flavor.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them for this. I made this recently (with cannellini)and only had 2 heads of garlic and we still liked it. Use for pita chips or veggies. I'm making roasted veggie tacos with avocado cream sauce (Pinterest) tonight and putting a smear of this on the tortillas first.

Thank so much every one!!! I am seeing some envy-worthy brown bag lunches using your recomendations. I should use more of these beans. Thank you again!!
