Jerry and Nancy is asking: (1 answer)
wanted to try a potatoe bread in my bread machine and found several recipes on here but all say to use dry instant potatoe flakes. I have none but I have a bunch of potator flour. Can I leave out the potatoe flakes and substitute a cup (or so of the standard flour with the potatoe flour.

King A suggests 1/2 c flakes can be replaced by 1/4 c potato flour. http://community.kingarthurflour.com/content/potato-flour-vs-potato-flakes-0 ******

Thanks. I also ran across a few different combinations on the King A site where I`ve taken the standard white bread recipe calling for 3 and 3 quarter cups all purpose flour and substituted 1 quarter cup with potato flour and another 1 half cup with whole wheat flour. I am going out on a limb and running it in my machine right now.
