OT - Does any use a pedometer AND have one they can recommend? I am reading reviews on line and some comments say some are so senstive that it sometimes counts movement while one is riding in a car! (I have to run but will be checking back!) THANKS

I am thinking of getting an Ipod nano that has a pedometer built right into the works that monitors your steps throughout the day. The ipod nano is not to expensive being about $150.00 which I might purchase in the new year or sooner. It is also good for listening to your favourite music recordings from itunes.

I have a pedometer, but i got it from my employer, don't know the kind, cause it has their name on it,but if you have a Future Shop,or a store like that they would recomend one.I use it,10,000.00 steps a day.(not always).

I'd been using the Omron GOsmart HJ-303 that tracks steps when it's clipped on at any angle. I got it after deciding to upgrade, and this one has many easy-to-understand features, including it resetting at midnight and storing steps for a week. But a negative: I learned the hard way I should have used its safety strap. The pedometer slipped out of the part that holds it (which is part of the clip) when I did a ton of apt work one day. Just checked on Amazon right now - only $26.95 so ordered one (regular price is $39.95). Hope this isn't too much information, but in May I was trying to figure out what to get and also heard about the car movement picking up "steps" etc. I liked it when the v good sales guy was skeptical about it picking up steps if in my purse (also heard that). I took that to mean the pedometer would work only if on me -with my feet moving! If you want any more info from me(!), why don't you put it as a separate post? Good luck!
