I have a few pounds of ham leftover from one i made earlier this week. I was thinking of making navy bean soup with it but do you have any other good recipes to use it up?

A great soup to simmer all afternoon, full of tomatoes, onions, celery, ham, and spices. This recipe makes eight to ten servings so make sure you have a large stock pot on hand.

Fettuccini with Mushroom, Ham and Rose Sauce

Sauteed onion, garlic and mushrooms are seasoned with oregano, basil, parsley and flavorful strips of ham. A sweet, rich mix of ready-made marinara sauce and heavy cream gives this dish its rose color. Serve over hot pasta and enjoy every luscious bite.

This is by far one of my favorite pasta dishes. Here is my review from forever ago. "Very good. I couldn't wait until it thickened and simmered down because we were hungry and it looked so good, but you know what... it didn't matter.... it was still delicious! The only change I made was I added a little Parmesan cheese to the sauce. The ham I chose to use was a smoked ham from the deli that I had cut thick, it had a peppered outside and added a nice depth of flavor. Very good dish. I used different pasta and not fettuccine because of my preference."

These savory sandwiches--made with storebought dinner rolls--turn rich and flavorful when drizzled with a buttery onion topping just before baking.

Dice it up and add it to a quiche (great with asparagus or spinach), make a deviled ham spread with horseradish for a unique sandwich filling, or add it to au gratin potatoes for a hearty casserole.

Tasty ham and potato patties with green onion and Dijon mustard are rolled into panko bread crumbs and fried until golden brown. The delicious little cakes are a great way to use up post-holiday leftovers.

When I have quite a bit of leftover ham I like to cut it up and freeze in one or two cup amounts. That makes it easy to pull out just enough for a quick, last minute dish.

Breakfast? I always recommend this one. I love it. I double it in a 9x13. I prefer to use swiss in mine. When they say croutons, I use the plain stuffing croutons. Yum. May just have to make this over the weekend now! lol

I love ham, but its salty so I usually only get one bash at it, that leaves a lot of leftovers. Granted my adult children usually run away with thebulk of the leftovers, I do like a ham sandwich! Likewise, in any baked beans recipe it comes up shining, and for those "once in a while" chances to eat ham and cheese omelets, its just great. Sliced thin, you can use it as a pizza topping. Ground up, it adds a bunch to a burger Again, coarsely ground, you can add itto salads, especially any Julienne or Caesar Salad. Not sure if you are into "perogies" but this grated ham is good inside them, or as a sort of "dressing" for them in their sauteed onion and sour cream, or as a meat side to them... Would it be breaking the box to use hm grated or ground in cabbage rolls? (Am I a Heretic for such thiking?) Goes well in any Goulash recipe. Any sort of Mac and Cheese benefits from ham! Pea Soup likes the boiled ham bone and a contribution of slivered ham. Ground, it does well with Chicken Kiev and Cordon Bleu... Again, outside of the box, subbing ham for corned beef into some sort of "hash" recipe is not unthinkable, nor is using it for an altered "Beef Stroganoff" where beef is abandoned in favour of ham. "Breakfast for Dinner"? Fried ham strips with eggs and hashbrowns? Monte Christo sandwiches? Spinach Salad? Lots and lots of ways to use it to advantage!
