Has anybody tried freezing fudge? If you did, how did it turn out? TY in advance.

I've never frozen fudge because I've never made it. I have made frosting, which has very similar ingredients. I have frozen frosting successfully without any change in consistancy.

I often freeze fudge. If I don't I'll eat the whole pan. No issues with texture or taste, just be sure to wrap it tightly.

yes I do every year and they turn out fine, have frozen the ones made with melted marshmallows, the old fashion, cook to temp on thermometer, beat to dull and the easy heat choc chips and milk and mix, they all turn out fine-even the fake fudge made from pudding and icing sugar turns out great

I should have added, I freeze with waxed paper between layers and leave as a block then cut up as needed

Yes, I've also figured out to not cut up fudge (even if not frozen) until I'm ready to give it away. Dries out faster when in chunks - same w/ most bars.

Thanks everybody, when I buy more chocolate chips tomorrow, fudge will be made and put into the freezer!

Thanks everybody. Heading to the store to buy more chocolate for fudge which will go into the freezer tomorrow! One more thing checked off my "TO DO HOLIDAY LIST."
