I saw you posted this, sounds wonderful. How many does it make? I didn't see the recipe in your box. thanks..........WHIPPED SCOTCH COOKIES 1 lb.butter 1cup icing sugar 1/2 cup corn starch 3cups flour 1/2 tsp.salt 1tsp.vanilla Mix together and beat until fluffy. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.Press a bit of green or red cherry on top. 325 oven for 25 min.or until lightly brown.

Misty i did answer,the post disappeared,anyway,i'm not sure excatly how much it makes 4-5 dozen i think.I will have to make them tomorrow just to find out.I have had this recipe for years,make them every year,never paid attention i guess.I will put this n my recipe box after i make them.Let me know what you think if you make them.

i see you now misty,I have had this recipe for years,you know i don't remember excatly how many,maybe 4-5 dozen,depending on the size.Now i will have to make some tomorrow just to find out,then i will put it in my recipe box.Let me know how you like them if you ake them.

Yes they can,they freeze well.I make these and shortbread cookies and put them in the freezer.Of course they are good to eat frozen also.Hope you like them.One other thing,because i can't have dairy i use Becel lactose free marg.To me there is no difference,just in case you know someone like me also.

Had to check this because I love manella's tips! Manella, if you're still around: can I make this w/ regular sugar? I don't know what is different w/ icing sugar.

no emeralds,you have to use icing sugar,grocery stores carry it.regular sugar would not work at all.It does not cost very much.Let me know what you decide.
