Good Morning, Does anyone have a recipe that calls for a lot of sour cream? I was given 24 containers of sour cream and I need a recipe to use them in? Thanks!!

Wow roxmj - that is a lot of sour cream. I do know that if you store it upside down it will last a lot longer than the use by date. The same thing works for cottage cheese. Here is a link about freezing ~ ~

Marianne - it is amazing how much longer it last being put in the fridge upside down. It has something to do with the air being forced out.

I'm sure, Molly. I went into the kitchen right after reading that and turned over my cottage cheese and sour cream! I LOVE learning tips like that!

These are good. If you make a lot you could wrap them individually and put them in a freezer bag and freeze them.

This beautiful pastry looks like a complicated braid, but is simply created by crisscrossing strips of dough. This pastry is filled with brown sugar and walnuts, and finished with a powdered sugar glaze. Other fillings work well, too, and coffee is a delicious substitute for the water in the glaze

I make lots of these at Christmas, I use homemade apple pie filling or apricot preserves or cream cheese and sour cherries for the fillings, the dough can be frozen as well.
