I know this is not the right time of the year to diet, but what are your favorite low cal or fat burning recipes? I sure would like to lose about 10- 15 pounds before Christmas!

Thanks Sherri. I am looking for things the whole family will eat and both of these look good. I don't think I'll partake in what I'm making tonight for the family! I'm perusing this morning looking for ideas for the rest of the week.

Everything goes into the food processor - garbanzo beans, tahini and lemon juice. Then roasted red peppers and basil. Chill and enjoy.

Wonderful for entertaining, this high volume hummus recipe is made with chipotle pepper, roasted red peppers, and sun dried tomatoes. The Middle-Eastern-inspired dip is a beautiful color and has a smoky, bright flavor. Serve with pita chips and fresh vegetables.

I created this soup after becoming tired of the excess salt and lack of veggies in canned minestrone. I recalled a great bowl of minestrone that was overflowing with rich vegetables at the 'Sheepherder's Inn' in Sacramento, California. Great with a hearty bread, romaine salad and a nice Merlot!

Walmart has a light yogurt called orange creme pie. It is 80 calories. I add a scoop of Jillian's vanilla protein whey,( around $10.00 at Walmart.) 1/2 cup ice and 1/2 cup low calorie orange juice. Blend in a blender. I think the protein is what gets me to lunch without the hunger. I also like the light vanilla yogurt. Add the scoop of protein whey, add some grapes or cut up apples, 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon ( I like a lot of cinnamon) and eat.
