Harvest Potato Casserole

Sour cream and cream of chicken soup lend to the creamy texture of this tried-and-true casserole. My family prefers this to traditional mashed potatoes.

Why not "Five Cup Salad", which you USA types call "Ambrosia"... One cup sour cream, one cup drained fruit cocktail, one cup drained mandarin oranges, one cup shredded coconut... For some difference, sub in an equal amount of yoghurt for the sour cream and/or maraschino cherries for the fruit cocktail...should beat the bejeebers out of the alternative salads and aspices, and is as simple as a song to make the night before... No offense, Patty Cakes, my natural tendancy to be lazyin things like this!

Potato Salad Deviled Eggs

Deviled eggs get a stuffing of potato salad for a tasty little bite on a summer day. Bring to a picnic, a cookout, or just serve for brunch or a light meal.

Don't get me started on Devilled Eggs...Cariologist says I get a max of two eggs a week, and, between devilled eggs, potato salad varients and macaroni salad variants, let alone my appetite for omelets, I could put down a half dozen each day without a problem...causing me to eat up my considerable weight in oatmeal!

Cl - I too would have a problem if I could only have 2 eggs per week. An egg sandwich is my all-time favorite sandwich.

Cranberry Waldorf

I make this salad all year long, but it is especially great for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Just freeze a few bags of cranberries to use at a later date. I know this will become a tradition to anyone who tries it, it's delicious! Garnish with frosted cranberries and mint leaves, if desired. For frosted cranberries, wet cranberries with water, and roll in sugar.
