I always poke mine to the bottom of the pan with a bamboo skewer, if it comes out clean, it is done! LOL

I have always gone with the crispy at the top edge and around the core rule. I like to pull it out when its a little sticky to the touch in the center of the 2. Good luck!

I've just poked mine with a tooth pick or something handy. If it's clean, it's done. Or if it's still bounced to the touch, you can take it out, too. Good luck.

I eyeball how done it is around the edges (outside and inside). If it is pulled away from both and shows no sign of "jiggle", then it is done.
