How long is fresh garlic good to use?Thanks!

I use them until they sprout or sometimes they get real rubbery. I have bad luck buying garlic, its so inexpensive, I usually pick up a clove every time I grocery shop that way I've got it when I need it :) You are talking about cloves of garlic? That's what I'm thinking.

Yes,cloves.I can't remember when I bought it,but it must've been a couple of months ago.It looks ok,I just don't want to get food poisoning.

not a clove, a bulb of garlic each time I shop :) still drinking my coffee this morning!

As long as its not moldy it should be fine. Mine will get yucky spots on them or like I said, they get rubbery and then start sprouting a green sprout, I throw them out then.

I just store a head of garlic in my pantry in a little ceramic open pot. It's good for several weeks for sure.

If you roast it in then, it will keep for a very long time frozen. If you freeze raw garlic the texture will change when you thaw it.
