I was in Louisianna last year and a friends Aunt made Sticky Chicken. We ate it over rice. It was awesome. I have googled a fw recipies, and tried a few, but havent really gotten it close to that dark gravy she had. Seemed she just kept adding water to her dutch over increasing the volume (amount) of her gravy. It cooked for hours. The chicken fell of the bone. It was amazing. Any takers?

This delicious dish uses skinless boneless chicken breasts cooked in a gingery, spicy, soy sauce. It's great as an appetizer or as a main dish served with rice and a veggie.

I loved this one. I made it with chicken breasts, but I'm sure you could use it on a whole chicken too. Was so good. Just omit the salt - it didn't need any extra salt.

Thanks for the ideas, but this is started with a roux. It uses the trinity (onion, celery, bell pepper) heavy cajun season to start. The chicken is started in a little oil, almost buring it, "sticking" to the pan. The the water, seasoning and chicken. The chicken eventually stews in the gravy until it falls of the bone. Sounds easy, I would like to find someone who has this mastered.
