Good Morning Sherri and all! I did make this yesterday but haven't had it yet. The kids and grand daughter are here from Atlanta, so this will be lunch or dinner for us.

How nice Belle to have a visit with your family. Thanks Deb for thinking of my mom, she is healing up slowly but still making progress.

Using 2% milk gives this rustic soup just a little bit of creaminess without all of the fat. You can easily make it vegetarian by substituting the chicken broth with vegetable broth.

Enjoy hanging with your son this week Amanda. And now I think some mac and cheese will go very well with my steak sandwiches.

Morning Sunshines! I totally forgot to take out any sort of meat and I'm totally not in the mood to cook anything...but I'm thinking the guys wouldn't be happy with take out again. So, I think I throw a pot of this on and call it a day. I have some rolls, maybe I'll make some garlic bread. Have a beautiful day!

I wonder if it's because we know we have so much cooking to do for Thanksgiving that we're not in the mood now. Hmmmm. Have a beautiful day too Kori!

I think that's it exactly, Deb. All of my stuff is easy but I swear it uses all of the ingredients in my kitchen right now, which leaves me w/minimal choices for other meals. I'm still trying really hard not to go to the grocery store before fri but I may have to cave today.

Yep, I think it is the fact we know we're gonna be cooking out behinds off in a couple days. I made a simple veggie soup last night, it was perfect, all in one pot too.

Good morning Lisa and fellow Buzzers...making this tonight (thanks Belle!) with peppar vodka and adding shrimp over cheese ravioli...yummers! Had a delightful shop yesterday, really wasn't too bad. Hubs found some great bacon ;0

Good Morning Savvy, Just an FYI, I don't want to deter you but I had a terrible time with this sauce. It broke on me and I had a devil of a time and finally had to use cornstarch to keep it together. I'm not sure it should simmer 30 minutes after you add the cream, so watch it carefully.

Good to know, Belle! Yes, 30 minutes after cream seems too long. Maybe I'll peek at a couple of other recipes.

Spicy Orange Teriyaki Marinade

Lots of nice and exotic tastes in this marinade. The most familiar is orange marmalade, the most unfamiliar is garlic chili paste. But when they come together with the other ingredients - brown sugar to ginger to soy sauce- they make a wonderful marinade

I'm off all week, so I'm really excited! I think we're having this tonight over pork tenderloin. With jasmine brown rice and broccoli. All open to negotiation...I'm going to the city later to shop and I might change my mind.

I'm waiting for the Dish people until noon today. When I planned this week I totally spaced off that DH would be home Tues for the rest of the week. Need something more than soup or salad when he's around, so I'll be heading to town this afternoon or tomorrow morning, but need some ideas first. I need some snacking items, too.
