I have never made an apple pie! Can anyone suggest a recipe that isn't too involved or intimidating for a first timer? :) Thanks!

A unique and popular recipe. Sliced apples under a lattice crust get bathed with a sweet buttery sauce before baking.

This European-style tart is easily shaped on a cookie sheet and has an extra-cinnamony aroma while it bakes. Enjoy it warm from the oven.

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

Submitted by: Ginny
A spiced, sugared and delicious apple filling is spooned into a frozen crust, topped with aluminum foil and baked. Mid-way through baking, a streusel top is sprinkled on and the pie continues to bake until the apples are tender and the streusel is golden brown.

Apples rolled in flour tortillas. VERY delicious, easy and fast to make. Substitute apples with peaches or cherries if desired.

Sweet apple halves are each wrapped in biscuit dough and poured over with a buttery sauce that's laced with vanilla and cinnamon. They're baked until golden and served hot.

Hi Annette, i certianly would never get a prize for the best apple pie ever, but i have come a long way and here is my persoanl favorite: Brown Sugar Apple Pie: In a large bowl, put 6 cups sliced apples, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup white sugar 2 tbsp flour 3/4 tsp cinnamon( i use apple pie spice) if you use cinnamon also agg 1/2 tsp nutmeg, let sit while making your crust, if your a begginner you may want to use packaged pie cxrust mix, which is great. put apple mixture into crust, sprinkle with lemon juice, and top with a bit of butter, put top crust on it bake at 400, 40-50 minutes depending on your oven.

This double crust pie has a cream filling topped with cinnamon laced apples. To finish, a simple glaze is poured over the warm pie. Serve chilled for best results.

This is my favorite. Easy to make. I add one egg yolk to the custard mixture during the cooking process.
