A variety of fresh and dried fruits and nuts are used in this cooked cranberry sauce. Serve with turkey.

What kind of dried mixed fruit should I use? Looked at a couple of stores, today. I could only find dried mixed berries, or individual bags of things like apricots, pineapple, etc. I have to stop by the store for a couple more things in the AM after church, and wanted to know what to get. It will get really expensive to buy multiple bags, but I thought I wanted something more than dried berries? What do you suggest? Thanks so much!!

I don't care for dried fruit but if I was going to use dried fruit it would be apricots, cherries or blueberries.

If you live in a larger city I would go to natural food type store, Sprouts, Whole Foods and buy out of the bulk bins.

this recipe is similar and uses apricots and raisins. A bulk store would be great so you could buy just a handful of each.

The store I shop at has bulk bins that you can buy small amounts of each. You should be able to find them at Sprouts or Whole Foods if you have one. I shop at Winco Foods.

This time of year, you can often find fresh cranberries in the grocery store. You could use that and it just take less cook time to prepare.
