Depending on how big of a turkey I would say Tuesday at the latest.

I read somewhere to count on 1 day for every 4 pounds of turkey weight.

I usually bake a 10-12 pound bird every year. I put it in the refrigerator to start thawing on Sunday morning, and put it in the oven late Wednesday night to bake for the big day. Hope this helps!

I place my turkey in a cooking bag with brine (frozen) and place it in a large bucket with ice and place it in the sink over night or in the cold garage.

I'd put it in the fridge in the morning.

I move my to the refrig on Sunday to start thawing. Easy to remember since Thanksgiving is always a Thursday !!!! Something huge might need to be started on Saturday, but good rule of thumb. I also open the plastic shrink wrap and cover with plastic wrap so it thaws slowly and evenly.

3 days in the fridge, 4th day your cooking it!After it's thawed, it can probably sit in the fridge, a few more days. The stores sell fresh turkeys a week ahead of time..There's tons of preservatives in them, whether we know it or not.
