A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do, in order to keep the peace in his house. (Believe me, sleeping in the dog house is not my idea of fun!)

My husband always helps around the house, and I love him even more for that!

My husband on his own - took over and does the vacumning and the laundry; and when he has time cleans the bathroom. Love his helpfulness - then we can spend more 'fun' time together. He works out of the house and I go into DC to work about an hour drive; and come home exhausued. He does not or rather CANNOT cook; so I come home and do dinner, then we can relax and watch a movie or something together, rather than him sitting down alone and me still working. We've been married for 37 wonderful years, and I really ppreciate all he does; as he feels the same way too about me.

Hey cliff, not entirely alone. As i do ALL the cooking, The cupboards, in and out, oven, cooker, kitchen floor, and hanging rails for tools and the tools are my detail. "she who must be obeyed" is great and does most normal cleaning, hoovering and washing but says, "I make the mess, I clear it up". I don't mind as the old saying goes"2 hands working together are better than 1.Fridge and freezer, we share but I do try to avoid. Hope helps your position and anyway, it's for love!!! AAAAAAAAH. cheers.

My fantastic hubbie does most of the housework for me and a fine job of it too! I do all of the cooking, shopping, laundry and ironing, business phone calls, gift buying, changing and making the bed, tiding up the bathrooms between cleanings. Like Carousel Lady says, we have a partnership allowing for more fun time together. And I always say "thank you"!

My husband before he has became too ill to help. He always changed the sheets every Friday and washed them and put them away.He cleaned the bathrooms and did the vaccumming. He still always helps me with the dishes after every meal. We have solved a lot of the problems of the world while doing dishes.

Oh my gosh! I need to trade mine in for one of you :) Mine is spoiled rotten! But, I still adore him. He's always worked WAY more hours so I've ended up doing all the domestic stuff. He will help me get ready for family coming over.

Nothing more sexy than a man willing to help! Him washing the dishes & I can snuggle up behind him!! Kidding, kinda. Mine offers to help & that is enough for me. I had rather wash the dishes, do my cleaning. He cooks on the grill & takes care of all when I feel bad. So much appreciated.

Brainwashed or not, I think you're wonderful. My hubs is self-employed, and he is always working. I take care of all the domestic work, but he does EVERYTHING else--fixes vehicles, does the outside work, he can fix anything. He had customers who said they did everything 50/50. I replied that if we did everything 50/50, I'd have more work to do. BTW, they're divorced, and we've been married 32 years. We each do what we do best, and it works for us. All that being said, it would be wonderful to have help with housework, but one can't have everything. ;-)

Hey, Cliff G, good on ya! In our house, we have "blue" jobs and "pink" jobs that we've worked out over the last 44 years ... and sometimes they even change colour. My husband would rather cook; I would rather clean; so we make a great team. Except now that I am addicted to AR, I get to cook and clean ... not sure how that happened?? Keep up the good work Cliff, 'cause a happy wife = a happy life!!
