Roasted Pears with Caramel Sauce

This golden, glossy delight could not be easier to make. All major varieties of pears - Bartlett, Bosc, red, Anjou - work equally well. However, Bosc roasts up slightly firmer than the others.

Mmmm... can it be a pie, still? Thanksgiving needs pies! LOL I'd bring a fluffy coconut cream pie ;)

I've heard good things about this one. I think I may just make this for Christmas dessert this year.

I first tasted this rich salad at my wedding reception almost 40 years ago. The ladies who did the cooking wouldn't share the recipe at the time, but I eventually got it. I've made it for many meals...and our daughters copied the recipe when they married.

Even though its cheesecake its not overly rich or heavy, in my opinion. This is my go to dessert during the holidays.

A homemade raspberry sauce - made with fresh and frozen raspberries and orange liqueur - finishes this creamy lemon dessert.
