Good Morning ~~ HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!! Quick question to start the day ~~ has anyone every washed their **shower curtain** in the washer? If so, were you satisfied how it came out? I'm tempted to wash mine today. ***Thank you*** to all who respond.

Do you mean the vinyl? Yes, I have done it several times. I add a little laundry det. and a little bleach. I have a front loader so I don't know if it would make any difference. I even put it in the dryer for a few min. just to get it soft again and hang it right away. It comes out great! :)

Hey there, Denise. Sorry, forgot to mention it is vinyl. Thank you for your *quick* reply. Washing as we speak. Hopefully it comes out better than how it went in. You have a great day, and greater week!!

Washed mine with a load of towels that get hot water and bleach. It really needs those towels in there to help with the washing action. I hang it back up right from the washer. Nice and clean.

Your welcome DairyQueen. As a matter of fact today is my laundry day. Thanks for the idea mimosa, I'll have to try it with the towels next time to see if it makes any difference! :)

Yes, I have washed both a vinyl and a fabric shower curtain. Both come clean very well. The only problem with the vinyl one is that when you take it out of the washer, there is a lot of water still on it. (don't put either type in the dryer) I just took a towel and wrapped up the vinyl curtain. Hang it up with the end in the tub to drip dry. It will unwrinkle as it hangs. Hope this helps.

I wash mine by itself in washer using about a cup of vinegar. Works great. I've heard adding towels also helps in removing some of the buildup, but I feel kinda funny about that...As Monika10 suggested, don't dry in your dryer - just hang up to drip dry.

I put mine in the dryer with dry towels for just a few seconds...maybe a minute softens up the vinyl and most of the water ends up on the towels!!
