Cabbage and onions are sauteed in bacon grease, and served with a splash of vinegar, for a tangy, hearty dish that will surprise you.

I'd have to say this is one of my favorite recipes. We are actually making it tomorrow. You can add whatever you want to it. We always add potatoes and ham or bacon. When all mashed up and slathered with some butter, it is pure comfort food!

I always have cabbage around. Love the stuff. I make this and keep it in the freezer as a low cal soup base. I generally add rice or quinoa, cooked dried beans and whatever is hiding in the fridge that needs to be used up.

I like this recipe because it combines the tastes of Waldorf salad and coleslaw. It's great for picnics and potlucks.

I never use the marshmallows, add the grapes to each serving, and again with the mayo/greek yogurt.

Thanks Marie! This would even be good with no meat, save a pan and some time that way! Saved! :)

An easy recipe that will have the kids eating cabbage like it's going out of style! Ground beef and sausage are simmered together with tomatoes, onion, celery, cabbage and rice.
