Is there a way to search by Most Published Cooks on this site? I know Chef John has a ton of recipes here, and a lot of them are really good. I imagine that other cooks with that many recipes might be good too.

Looked interesting, so I followed the link (top 10 submitters) and I see the list. For the first one listed, Beth Sigworth, I clicked on her "recipes submitted" link and six recipes show. The next people, when I go to their submitted recipes, their recipe box opens. Something is not right here. I expected to see Chef John as number one. If I search by cook's name in the recipe search box for "ccsick", a person on the list, one recipe was found. Strange.

I've noticed a lot of those *top* categories are weird. I don't think AR keeps up with those pages.

IP . . . I agree it’s not put together to make navigation easy. After the first one, if you click on “Cook’s Profile”, you’ll see their published recipes. Clicking on “Published Recipes” incorrectly takes you to their recipe box as you discovered. This list is either outdated or strange criteria are applied in compiling it as other cooks have more published recipes than the top ten list. Just one example . . . http://allrecipes.com/cook/169147/ (CORWYNN DARKHOLME) . . . she also has a mother load of personal recipes.

A few years ago this site was created by combining various other sites together and at one time you could direct post recipes. Not sure of the value of knowing who has the most posted recipes since someone could have uploaded MANY during the time direct posting was permitted. Unless you happen to like recipes by a certain person, I am not sure what value looking that up would be.

Thanks everybody for the links and comments. I thought it might be worth a look, and I did see a couple of things that looked appealing to me. I still don't know my way around this site as well as I should (as evidenced by how long it took me to figure out how to check for answers to my question). Goodfood mentioned something interesting in that "direct posting" used to be allowed. I know that it seems to take a very long time to have a recipe approved after submittal these days. Perhaps that really does improve the quality of recipes.? Who's to say, I guess. I mean, I'm sure that somebody out there loves some of the stuff that I hate! Liver lovers...eewwww!
