BARBI is asking: (2 answers)
PLEASE HELP QUICK! I WAS SUPPOSED TO MIX TOGETHER 1 C HEAVY CREAM, 1 C MASCARPONE CHEESE &1/3 C LEMON CURD. I USED FAT-FREE HALF&HALF BY MISTAKE & IT'S TOO SOUPY TO FROST MY LEMONCELLO ANGEL FOOD CAKE. WHAT CAN I MAKE W/IT? IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A B'DAY CAKE. I CAN PULL A CAKE OUT OF THE FREEZER, BUT WHAT DO I DO W/THIS MIXTURE? THE CAKE IS ALREADY SOAKED W/LEMONCELLO. THANK YOU ANYBODY.

Can you mix a little powdered sugar to it without making it too sweet?

Geez, these are the questions that wrack my brain and leave me thinking I should go back to being a beginner chef! :)

Place slices of cake in individual bowls and ladle the 'sauce' on top. Garnish with fresh raspberries or sprigs of mint. It will look elegant ant taste wonderful.

I would love to have a piece of this dessert. Hard to make a mistake when you are working with good ingredients.

THANK U SO MUCH MARIE C! I WAS THINKING ABOUT USING IT AS A SAUCE. I ACTUALLY PUT A SMALL DISH OF THE SAUCE TO SEE HOW IT WOULD FREEZE (MAYBE LIKE A COOL WHIP OR TAKEN OUT LATER & LEFT OUT TO SOFTEN LIKE WHIPPED CREAM).IN THE MEANTIME, I PUT STRAWBERRY JELLO WITH STRAWBERRIES MIXED IN ON THE BOTTOM OF AN ANGEL FOOD CAKE PAN,THEN I PUT THE CAKE IN THE PAN, PRESSED IT DOWN & ITS JELLYING IN THE FRIDGE. IN THE A.M. I WILL INVERT IT INTO A DISH. THE STRAWBERRY JELLO W/THE BERRIES WILL BE ON TOP. I WILL THEN USE THE LEMONCELLO,MASCARPONE CHEESE & LEMON CURD SAUCE OVER THE SLICES LIKE U SUGGESTED. THANK U.

P.S. I HAVE MADE THIS MANY TIMES BEFORE, THE RIGHT WAY (W/HEAVY CREAM) & IT IS DELICIOUS.

If you have unflavored gelatin, you could make it firmer with that, too, but the sauce sounds wonderful.

ANSWER TO MIDWEST CHEF. MAYBE IT'S LIKE YELLING TO U WHEN I USE ALL CAPITALS, BUT I AM 75YRS OLD, NOT IN THE BEST OF HEALTH & IF I DON'T USE CAPITALS, I CAN'T SEE WHAT I'M TYPING. IF IT OFFENDS U, WHEN U SEE MY NAME YELLING AT YOU, SKIP OVER IT.SO,SO PETTY.
