In your opinion (we all have one...) what brand is the best hotdog out there?

I can't find them anymore, but Best brand was our favorite kosher hot dog. Vienna Beef is excellent, too. Nathan's is waaaay too salty for us. We don't like any of the other brands at all.

Thanks Celeste, never heard of them before...they seem to stand out from regular processing.

We only eat Kayem hotdogs at my house.

I think Hebrew National. But then we don't do much more than Costco's lunch!

chicklet, we dont have Kayem either is this a special hotdog?

I don't think so cliff. We usually get them in the deli section of the grocery store. They are very good.

Also check any local meat companies, they may make their own.

The only kind I buy are Kunzler skinless smoked hot dogs from the deli. Don't know it they have them in your area tho.

I like a hot dog just once in a while so I have not been thru all the various brands. I did snag a deal on the new Oscar Mayer Select Chicago Style. Gotta say yum and even my kid who doesn't like hot dogs liked these.

We normally only like our local brand but I bought Oscar Meyer Chicago Style on sale recently and they were a big hit so I picked up some more. Never thought we would like a national brand. They're very good.

Locally, I buy Hummel brand. We prefer natural casing.

I like the Kunzler hotdogs. They are local to me (PA)so I don't know that they are in stores near you.

tasha, we dont have those either, like to compare what others can get and how they are processed. The Niman above seem to be a very high quality product. Cost more than I can really afford...but one can dream! :)

Hebrew National. I thought my husband would like Nathans but he didn't care for all the juice that ran out and the casing.

Hey Cliff! I know I'm hardly on AR of the even'gs. I LOVE Oscar Meyer! And love them grilled! With all the fixings! Well, slaw, onions, mustard and chili are what I like!

Anything without nitrates and nitrities in my household. More points if humanely raised. Applegate Farms or Niman Ranch at our house.

I'm a Ballpark fan myself because they roll the best on my hot dog rolling machine.

Here in Canada we have one called "Shnieder'a all natural weiners". Truly all natural. No preservatives or fillers. Actual ingredients we recognize and can pronounce. They taste great too.
